The Siamese, a slender, elegant cat, originated in an exotic part of the world once called Siam. The prominent feature of the breed is its striking coat pattern of a light body with dark points. The point colors include blue, chocolate, lilac and seal. Other distinguishing characteristics of the Siamese are its distinctive voice and sociable nature.

                                         Balinese

The Balinese is a svelte cat with long, tapering lines and a lithe but strong body structure. Because of its longer fur, the Balinese appears to have softer lines and less extreme type than other breeds with similar type. Because of its Siamese history, the Balinese has deep, vivid blue eyes and pointed colors, including blue, chocolate, lilac and seal points. Some registries also accept lynx points, parti-color points and red and cream points.

                                        Tonkinese

The result of a Siamese to Burmese breeding, the Tonkinese is best known for its brilliant aqua eyes and beautiful mink coat. This remarkable coat comes in blue, champagne, honey, natural and platinum colors; some Tonkinese come in pointed and solid colors, too. The Tonkinese is an alert, active cat with good muscular development.

                                                    Javanese

The Javanese is the longhaired counterpart to the Color point Shorthair. Featuring a long, silky coat similar to that of the Balinese, the Javanese comes in the rainbow point colors of the Color point Shorthair. Because the Javanese is so similar to the Balinese, many registries make no distinction between the two breeds.
